I’m not kidding.. yesterday was my first day at Columbia and I’m making an honest attempt at educating myself on the anaerobic digestion process. My goal - to dig up as much information as I can on hydrolysis, which is known to limit the rate at which this entire process takes place. If you aren’t familiar - anaerobic digestion is pretty hot right now, or at least has been for a few years now! It’s our saviour of greenhouse gas emissions and is something any wastewater treatment plant should consider incorporating for energy saving! I found two books that are interesting - I’ve taken a picture of one here, the other one is called Anaerobic Digestion Processes by Nigel Horan. If you come across this post and have some advice for me, so send me a message, and I’ll be sure to give it a read!
